Making a little table make more sense.....

If anyone has heard anything else about the disruption of email subscriptions through feedburner, could you please let me know????!!!!

Now on to today's magnificent post!!!!!

In Miriam and Ross's living room, I found a little table for them to put between the pair of chairs,
It started out like this.....before I got my hands and paint brush on it.....
It went between the pair of chairs.....
And was looking tall and empty.
That's because it hadn't been filled up yet!!!!!
After all, it is a magazine and book holder.
Soooooo.....
When I brought over the reupholstered ottomans, I decided I wouldn't wait around any more for Miriam to set it up the way it was intended, and I took matters into my own hands.
After all, what's the good of a book and magazine rack,
if they're empty?????

On another note, some of my friends or family.....
wondered why I painted it all the colors that I did.
(you know who you are.....only problem is, FAYE, you don't read my blog.....)
Miriam wanted it to have some pink.
The girl loves her pink!!!!!
I tried to paint more pink on it, but it just wasn't working, so It ended up the way it is now.
After I brought in the multicolored fabric on the ottomans and toss pillows, the colors of the table made a lot more sense.
One of the problems with folks seeing a decorating job half way done, is that some stuff looks weird!!!!!
I had pulled the colors from the fabric, but until the fabric was in the room.....
some people were questioning my judgement.....
Soooooo....
now it looks much better, but I still need to find something to put on the table top.
If you want a room to look finished, you have to fill in the blanks.
Not to bring personal stuff into my blog or nothin',
BUT
Friday was my Dad's 99th birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!

Happy Birthday to your dad!! Wow! As far as the feedburner thing, I found out some info from a few bloggers~looks like we either have to get a new service to send out the blog posts or followers need to use Bloglovin' or a service like that to follow their favs. That is what I have started to do, and I love how easy it is to have all my blogs that I follow just show up in one clump of an email every morning.

Happy 99th to your dad! As far as the Feedburner issue, as an end user (not a blogger) I can't agree with Amy (but love her!). I don't use blog lovin or any reader (hate them). But I have started to again receive your blog, and Amy's and several others in my email again, so maybe Feedburner fixed something? I much prefer to receive notifications of new posts by email, but that's just me. Keep on blogging! Best, Beth C.

Hi Betsy, thank you so much for your nice comment today, and you are absolutely welcome to use the blog post that I published yesterday. I did change it a bit since yesterday because I learned more about the issue, so it is even more accurate now. I agree with Amy that Bloglovin is a great service. Unfortunately though, using a paid service for email will not solve the issue like she suggested. Amy I hope you don't jump over to that just yet! Here is a more in-depth explanation of what readers and bloggers can do: http://www.southshoredecoratingblog.com/2014/06/why-you-may-not-be-receiving-my-blog.html

Happy belated 99th birthday to your daddy! I'm sure you know how blessed you are to be able to celebrate that achievement with him.

Loving what you have done at Miriam & Ross' place. To complete a room you so have to fill the "nooks and crannies."

I am just reading your post because I haven't been getting a lot of the blogs I follow. Sometimes they show up randomly after not coming in for weeks. Congratulations on your dad's birthday earlier this month. My wonderful daddy is 89 now and I am lucky to still have both him and my mom.
