Two Walk-In Closets for One Woman

Looking into my bathroom hall from my master bedroom, shows my arrangement of 1940's style flower paintings.
On the back of the top two water colors is a label that I love almost as much as the pretty flowers.
It says:

A GENUINE WATER COLOR
PAINTED WITH AN AIRBRUSH, STYLIZED AND DECORATIVE, THIS TYPE OF PICTURE IS USED BY LEADING INTERIOR DECORATORS IN ANY  PERIOD OR MODERN SETTING. NOTE HOW THE COLORS BLEND WITH CURRENT RUGS AND FABRICS.

see????
They talked a bunch of hooey even back then.

To the right is my bathroom, to the left are my 2 walk-in closets!!!
That's right folks!!!!!!!
I LIVE BY MYSELF AND HAVE 2 WALK-INS!!!!!

I had lots of shelves added for my shoes.
Only I didn't have a lot of shoes in Florida, having just moved down here when I had the shelves added.
I don't travel back and forth with clothes, but have a set of stuff in each house.
I can do this 'cuz I shop at Walmart.

SOOOOOOO.......
I had all these shelves, and one pair of shoes.
I also had just developed plantar fasciitis......
For those of you who don't know what that is, just wait, you'll probably get it when you get older.
It feels like your heel is bruised.
You can't wear high heels.
You can't wear shoes without a lot of cushioning in the heels.
YOU CAN'T WEAR PRETTY SHOES!!!!!
But I had all these shelves just begging to be filled!!!!!

Soooooo....

I DID WHAT ANY NORMAL DECORATOR WHO IS
OUT OF HER MIND
WOULD DO.....

I bought a bunch of cheap shoes, I probably will never be able to wear
that
LOOK GOOD
on the shelves.

I had the closets wallpapered in a green floral toile
"cuz I'm a girlie girl.

I figured out a cool way to make a blanket rack out of just a couple of hanging rods.
(see photo above)
This is how I store my down blanket, that I use twice a year.

I found these wonderful fabric bins at Home Goods to help with storing the less than pretty stuff.

I also found some green toile boxes at Home Goods.
I have three that rest on the top shelf in the closet across from my shoes.
I HAVE NOTHING IN THEM!!!!!c
They just are there to look good.
A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Looking into the other closet

This is where my Walmart specials live.
I bought I a bunch of outfits there 9 years ago, and I still love them, and think of them as my NEW CLOTHES!
Lets you know how often I go shopping for stuff to wear.

ALL I DO IS SPILL FOOD AND DRINK ON THEM, SO WHY BUY FANCY STUFF????

The two closets had florescent lights, that flickered and buzzed.
Not attractive or appealing for when I wanted to commune with my lovely outfits!!!!
So I went on ebay, and found some pretty hanging ones that just did the trick.
I didn't want them to be the same in both closets, because what's the fun in that????

I couldn't decide how long I wanted them to be, and that's why they're hooked up the way they are.
I'll have that fixed within the next couple of years.....
OR NOT.
I tend to not see things after a while.
Just live with them.
Ignore them......

The little chair I bought on my international travels to England through ebay.
It was small enough so the shipping wasn't bad.
I love it, and have not seen it's like in the U S of A...

It came in the red toile, and I really like it against the green.
It's PERFECT for putting on socks,
and doing other important closet type stuff.....

Above the chair, I am going to hang this old metal frame, once I figure out
how I'm going to make the saying that will be framed inside it.

I MADE THIS POEM UP
ALL BY MYSELF!!!

I can't decide if I want to paint it, or embroider it, or needlepoint it.
So many options, so much laziness.......
It will probably sit there for three more years.

OK
Now back to finish the master bath.
I KNOW, I KNOW.....
I still have more to say about that space!!!!!

I hung more of my Wannopee collection in this room.
Not to make an easy, cheap, sophomoric joke.....
BUT WHAT A GREAT NAME FOR A BATHROOM COLLECTION!!!!!

For those of you just tuning in,
Wannopee is the name for the type of green lettuce leaf pottery that includes my plate collection.

I used some pretty accessories for actual practical applications!!!!

One of my Czechoslovakian vases holds an extra used toothbrush for cleaning duty, probably should use if for polishing all my tarnished silver.
The other item being held is a thermometer for when I feel under the weather.

This pretty little silver caddy holds my q-tips.
(Needs polishing BAD)

Years ago one of my clients gave me this flamingo painting as a present.
I HAD NO PLACE TO PUT IT.
I lived up north.
WELL I FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE.
It's so hard to know what to hold on to....
what to get rid of.....
I held onto it for 10 years till I had a use for it.

This is looking into my toilet room.....
I still haven't decided what I want to do to the walls....
So they remain white till I make up my tiny little mind.

I wanted a vintage bamboo magazine rack for that space.
I needed one that could fold up, because it blocks the door (to the left).
I never need to close the door,
'CUZ I LIVE ALONE!!!!!
YIPPEE!!!!!

I found this on ebay
It holds my heavy important reading.....

Love, love, love the way it works with the other bamboo accents in my
master bath.

WE ARE NOW FINISHED WITH THIS ROOM!!!!!

Don't forget......
Tuesday is the answers you all have been waiting for!!!!!
So come back for
OY!! VEY!! Q&A Tuesday!!

Later, Gator

You must stretch your foot and heel every morning before you even get dressed. As soon as you get out of bed. You release the pressure that has built up around the heel spur. I give you this tidbit out of kindness and experience. I am truly jealous of your closets! Heels make my foot feel better, takes the pressure off the pain. But really STRETCH, as soon as you stand up, helps really.

Love your closets and the pretty accents you've added. I also have plantar fasciitis. I used to wear high heels every day; that's probably one of the reasons I got plantar fasciitis.
