Today I am going to share with the class the wonderful accomplishments of the 21st century.
The amazing ability that we have to make
big things smaller!!!!!
The cell phone first started out this size.....
And all it could do was make phone calls!!!!!
Now we have these.....
and they can make phone calls, talk to you, look things up, play games with you, help you get where you want to go, etc. etc. etc.
Computers used to fill whole rooms!!!!!
Then they were made small enough for our desks.....
then they were made into laptops.....
Then they were made into thin laptops.....
Then we got the iPad!!!!!
And then the iPad mini.....
SOOOOOO.......
In honor of the miniaturization of our culture.....
Let me show you my thanksgiving turkey!!!!!
Here's a close up.....
A side by side comparison.....
This is what happens when you get to have Thanksgiving by yourself!!!!!
Peace and quite.
and....
No sports on the TV!!!!!
On that note,
Later, Gater

I LOVE spending days like Thanksgiving by myself. I was hoping to spend Christmas alone, but alas, no such luck!
I came to check your site today because I was sure you would express in your inimitable way one of the pure joys of being a single mature woman. I think there are many of us across the country and many more who wish they had this option. Thanks. Enjoy!
When I took the picture of the Cornish game hen on the platter, I almost fell on the kitchen floor from laughing!
Love your post. I am enjoying Thanksgiving myself at home. Enjoy your day.

Priceless. And it all makes so much sense. Blessings to you. Best, Beth C.
I have had every holiday dinner myself since my husband passed away almost 14 years ago, I make a 15 lb turkey divide it up and freeze it,I get invitations but prefer my holidays alone with my dog.
Enjoy..
Things have really changed, haven't they? Happy Thanksgiving.

I spent my Thanksgiving with a house full of dogs and cats. No turkey.
Tallulah is not feeling well so I stayed home while Michael and Gracie went to his family's.
Bring the frozen game hen back with you, keep it frozen in the wrapper. Leave it outside your condo with a note to the turkeys saying "Keep it up and this will be YOU next year!"
An idea, anyhow.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your anorexic friend!

Happy Thanksgiving Betsy! Not an ounce of alcohol passed my lips but the food has truly given me a hangover. Will be super glad when tomorrow comes.
I simply could not stop laughing after reading your post tonight, you're just too funny. Happy Thanksgiving!
