The Perfect Chair!!!!

I know I've mentioned before how brilliant I am.....
but I just even impressed myself!!!!!
There was a wasp buzzing around my family room.
I don't like to kill them, but try and get them to go outside.
I don't kill bugs unless they are out to get me,
like mosquitoes,
or ticks.....
or black flies....
etc. etc. etc....
anyway....
wasps don't fall into that category, they only hurt you if you freak them out.
And besides.
Almost all of them are girls!!!!!!!
SOOOOOOO
this one was buzzing around and buzzing around and buzzing around the skylights.
Usually, I can get one to crawl onto a broom, if I hold it near them, and then I carry them to the door outside.
WELL...
this one wasn't having any of that!!!!!
So, I'm listening to its buzzing....
I really hate that noise....
AND I GOT MY BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!!
The wasp was attracted to the daylight coming through the skylight.....
I could lower the skylight blinds!!!!!
Then there wouldn't be a lot of light, and it would fly to where there was more!!!!!
(light, that is...)
Like the door to outside!!!
Where I wanted it to go!!!!!
AND IT WORKED!!!!!
I am a #$% genius!!!!!

OK, now that I've shared with the class,
it's time to get to the decoratin'!
Today I will take you back to my buddy Kris's master bedroom.
We last saw the room when I was looking for a better chair for the corner.
This was the one we found in a local junky antiquey store for $20.
We decided it wasn't tall enough for the corner...
So,
after I looked for a replacement for a really, really long time....
I found this chair on 1st Dibs.
Sooooooo.....
Kris bought it.
It was down south, I can't remember where.....
maybe Atlanta....
I don't know,
my memory has left the building.
ANYWAY,
she bought it, and it took forever to get shipped up to Massachusetts.
The seller, had trouble lining up a truck.
WELL....
when it finally showed up,
the poor truckers weren't used to driving on the old roads of our area.
They managed to pull down the telephone lines on Kris's street because of the size of the truck.
They were so frazzled when they left, that at the end of her road, they turned left.....
even though it's a divided street, and they turned onto a one way lane,
going the wrong way.....
So the police stopped them.....
These poor guys.
They pulled down phone lines and went the wrong way down the street.
The police just gave them a warning.
We understand these byways of New England are not for the faint of heart.

ANYWAY!!!!!
We finally got the chair!!!!!
It's a much better height.
We are not going to use that footstool.
We need to find a smaller one in a different style.....
Soooo...
NOW WE GET TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE!!!!
It's a perfect size for the room.
Next post,
I'll show you what we did to finish off the wall over the chair.

On that note,
watch out for wasps...

Terrific! A new upholstery project!
Oh my gosh. Those poor truck drivers. And every wasp I ever met was a terrorist. But you are a good person for setting it free to go sting someone else.
