HoKay Kampers!!!!!
As my holiday gift to you.....
I am going to let you leave your opinions in the comments section below.
Tell Kris and me which pillows you'd like to see against the bed pillows at the heads of her guest room beds.
To refresh your fading memories.....
here's a shot of the room.
I want a splash of color against the pillows.....
Just a nice small needlepoint, we figured something 16" square, or 16"x 18"
Soooooo.....
Off to eBay!
Below are some of the choices facing us.
The discussion is whether or not to go with some whimsy, and do the rabbits,
or to stay more "pretty" and go with the flowers.
Rest assured.....
your opinions won't matter at all.....
(doesn't mean I don't want them, I have to have something to laugh at while everyone is celebrating Christmas.....)
We will do what we want, take pictures of it.....
and then make you look at them.
I am a gracious blogger.
I am sensitive to the feelings of my readers.
So,
here we go,
let's look at some pillows!!!!!
(I will be cutting off the tassels from some of these, it depends on whether or not they look to TOO, if you know what I mean.....)
First up, the florals.
#1
#2
(this is just like the one above, just upside down in in a different colorway.....)
#3
#4
#5
# 6
#7
#8
#9
Then we found these rabbit ones.
Kris thinks they're funny and quaint.
They remind me of someone reading a newspaper on the pot.
But that's just me, my mind works in lyrical ways.
I like how they are mirror images of each other.
We also need a pillow for the chair I redid.
Kris would like a round one.
Of course she does.....
because there are none like that on eBay, so now I have to make one.
I like to pretend that I am put upon,
taken advantage of,
used and abused....
but I live for this stuff.
Just more crap in a craptastic world!!!!!

oh, i love flowers, but there are a lot of them in the room, i'd go with the rabbits!!!
The #1 floral is perfect but you would smile every time you saw those rabbits.
I like one on each bed of either #2 & #4 or #5 & #9
One of the rabbit pillows would look cute in the chair.
Great guest room Betsy! Once again Kris is sooooooo lucky!!!

I would choose two of the florals with a red border. The others would look too, washed out. You could put a bunny on the chair, but I think they are a little creepy.
I choose #4 the smaller pillow with the green bobble trim--I love that pillow. Second choice is #8.
I don't think the rabbits would look at home in a room with the pretty girl paintings.
Number 1 and 7 are my favorite floral pillows. I like the punch of color from the florals but agree with Kim that there are almost all florals in the room. If the guests will often be younger grandchildren, maybe the bunnies and chicks would be nicer. But I would like to see deeper colors in the bunny pillows. How about a third or fourth choice? Maybe bunnies in a flower garden. Or two sets of pillows to be changed out depending upon the age of the guests? Either way, the room looks gorgeous! If I was a guest, I would never want to leave!
Number 7
I like #3 for the chair. It's so low in contrast and might not compete with the framed painting. But the beds would be charming with the rabbits. Will be curious what you end up using.

Well, since you asked...and since you don't care about my opinion....I'd choose the rabbits! #6 is tugging at me too...have fun on eBay...and thanks for the "gift"! ;)
Hands down, i love #8!
I like #2. It looks like there is already so much pink in the room that the soft green would look good.
I like pillow #3. The rest are okay (actually I would keep looking) How long does it take to needlepoint a pillow (approx size of those shown). You are a really good friend if yor needle pointing pillows too!
It's a shame you can't find some vintage needlepoint that was done but never made into pillows or chair covers.
( I'd be looking at vintage chairs for some good needlepoint seats to make pillows from)
Oh I have to go with the rabbits. There are so cute and add a sweet touch to the floral in the room. Love this room by they way. Such a talent you have!
Love the small rectangle one minus the ball fringe. Don't like the rabbits at all, they are creepy looking and not pretty. The florals are all pretty but are too similar to the wallpaper etc., I'd keep looking. Try Country Curtains, Home Decorators Collection, Ballard Designs.....and look on Etsy. The room is so beautiful!!!
try embriorded and crochet edge pillowcases... add same trim as curtain valance... can't tell if red/whatever.... place crochet edges toward area between beds... pretty.... then add the rabbits... or find frogs (E-bay has some.... )... i just helped niece do 3 guest house rooms.......... and i'm sitting here nursing rum and eggnog... second carton of eggnog... so if i've overstepped... it's the eggnog... the rum is innocent....
I love the oblong of 3 but think I'd go with 9. Such a pop of color! Rabbits would be a good spot of whimsy, maybe in the chair.
I'd chose a brighter color! Wondering what you'll do. Kaye
I've narrowed it down to #3 or 5 for the bed. I think #9 for the chair would work, because the the pillow would pop the faded colors of the chair. I like the rabbits but maybe in the springtime. So many choices???????
I'd stay with the faded floral look- # 2, 3, 9 are my favorites and I hate the bunnies.
It's the rabbits, and they face each other -perfect!
What's more fun than a silly whimsical rabbit pillow? Two of them! #3 would look great in the chair.
Alison
I like #2. Perfect!
I like 7 and 5. I agree about the Rabbits looking like they are on the pot, reading the newspaper. Of course, I like turtles, myself. Blogless Peggy
Love them all. But definately the rabbits. Suzi
#9 and 5 for the beds without the fringe because I like the red borders and similar patterns. #7 for the chair as it appears to have more pink in the background. I really like the whimsey concept of the rabbit/chicks, however the rabbit looks more like an otter to me since his ears are so short (or so it appears in the picture). These pillows are more colorful, like the green, hate the yellow in the rope, but the rabbit creeps me out! Needlepoint pillows are hard to find, aren't they? RSmith
Definitely the rabbits.
Quazy wabbits 'natch.
Not a fan of the rabbits :( I prefer any of the pillows with a red border. Wouldnt the less colorful pillows get lost in all that neutral color?
