Hey!! Is anybody out there???
OK, now that I have your attention, click on the picture of my Florida cottage on the right side of the screen, then go to my projects page. I've put up the pictures of the kitchen work.
Let me know what you think ( I know you will).

Love the floor, Betsy! I've been dying to do a black and white check or diamond pattern and now we are downsizing, so maybe. I thought yours was tile! Nicely done!
Good Morning Betsy,
You are so right...what a difference a coat of white paint can make. I have always adored a painted check floor...so retro. The countertops with the metal edges makes me think of those fabulous 40'/50's kitchen tables.
You made me laugh with the plywood over the window . You high falutin designers are so particular...what, you don't like the wood over the window look???? Paint that baby with Annie Sloan's chalk paint and you could start a new trend ;->
Love the vintage Florida tablecloth you used for a window treatment. I love a gal not afraid to put the scissors to a vintage find.
All in all, you did a wonderful job transforming an outdated room into a space that will make you smile everytime you enter it.
I enjoyed this visit. More rooms please!

Hi Betsey,
I love everything about your kitchen. Wish it were mine!!
hugs

I love that kitchen Betsy! The stained turquoise floors with white, the formica, the clock, and the rest of the details look great. What was the cost of the makeover?
Love this! The floor is fabulous!
Thanks for reminding us to go check out the kitchen make over. Looks great! Retro isn't our everyday style but all your choices fit so perfectly in the cottage and with the rest of the make over. We adore the feel of the entire place.
Kristy @ 4 the love of WOOD
This is like so many kitchens of my youth. What fun memories it brings back :-) My dad would love this kitchen because of the squares on the floor. I love the whole kitchen too! We have many of the same elements in our 1950's kitchen.
Love it!!! The floor is fab!! And the metal banding...love! So much more interesting and charming than another "slap some granite on it" kitchen. Vanna
Betsy,
I love your kitchen, the countertops, the floor, everything! What a fun place to cook and hang out. I saw your work years ago in a magazine, can't remember maybe Country Living where you had decorated a cabin and fell in love with it! I am your newest follower and can't wait to see and read more!

Oh Wow ! I love the retro look ! It's so fresh looking . 2 thumbs up from me !
It is amazing! I love it all.
hi Betsy! So nice to 'see' you again! I used to study your magazine features like the bible way back when!! My favorites were always your personal homes- I remember a cabin, a ocean cottage (wasn't there a contractor;)and a charming cottage??
Love this kitchen, especially the floor.
Welcome to blogland!

What a wonderful space! Hopped over from Amy's and so glad I did. Looking forward to seeing more!
My sister and I just spent the morning pouring over all the pictures of Badass...LOVE IT! Can't wait to see the rest.
oh boy, Aunt B, you're giving me ideas...
I found your blog through Maison Decor. I've just started to browse through, but I love what I see and I love your humor! I love good humor to get through the day!
I am so pleased to have found your blog. I have been a fan of yours for many years, first seeing your work in Country Living (or similar) years ago. I have been looking at your Palm Beach renovation and it is fabulous. I love the authenticity you have given it. I loved your side and frond yard makeover. We just bought a vacation home in St. Petersburg which needs a lot of yard work and your photos have given me a lot of inspiration.
