We live in sunny California, between San Diego and Los Angeles, just about 20 miles from the ocean. It is NOT supposed to snow here. That's why we pay such obnoxious property taxes - for the great weather. Anyway, WE had 9" of snow on Dec. 30th. It lasted 5 days. We were out of power for 3.5 days. Guess what, there are no snow plows here! We had snow sticking to our stucco house almost up to the roofline with windblown drifts that made it almost impossible to get out of the doors and we don't have snow inserts! Thankfully my son drove up to see us and helped to get us out. However, his poor little children and wife had to walk 3 blocks in the snow because his car got stuck in a drift. We have a 4 wheel drive so once we got our car dug out we got his car dug out. Happily no one froze to death. It WILL be an experience that his 4 year old will not forget!

Smiles from now sunny California, Charlotte Des FleursCharlotte Des Fleurshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12569095144803584465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-780745603109193534.post-55268178685719773982013-02-11T11:23:35.058-05:002013-02-11T11:23:35.058-05:00Hi Betsy,

I have never lived in snow, I think it always looks so pretty in pictures and we have rented a cabin in the snow for a weekend. That is the extent of my snow living. I wimp out when its cooled in my bed at night so I keep the electric blanket turned up..LOL so I am a delicate little flower too.
Have a sweet week, Elizabeth Elizabeth and Gary https://www.blogger.com/profile/15849231608931954395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-780745603109193534.post-85160887933479971442013-02-11T09:44:58.779-05:002013-02-11T09:44:58.779-05:00I know your parents were so happy to have you ther...I know your parents were so happy to have you there to help them. It's a little early for azaleas, but the camelias are right on schedule. That being said, here's the tradeoff... you will be there when the weather turns beautiful and when we are battling heat and humidity. You lucky girl, you!
